Jessica needed to build strength for her daughter and her own self-image. With the help of Coach V and the Higher Level Fitness team, dedication and consistency, she managed to put on 20 pounds of pure muscle. Read on to learn how she did it!
I knew I needed to make some changes in my life. I was sick and tired of fighting thoughts of food and body image and knew I needed to make some changes. I was having a hard time lifting my daughter and carrying her around and I wanted to gain some strength for her. Only I had no clue what changes would be in store for me, I couldn't have imagined at the time.
I started sort of by accident. I met Coach V at a grocery store and he saw how I was struggling with my daughter. He offered to make me an at home program that would add muscle to my frame. After a brief Q & A, my program was e-mailed to me. I had an old set of 5 lb dumbells and pulled them out of the closet. I did the exercises from Coach V's program, then quickly became hooked.
It didn't take long to progress from 5 lb dumbells to weights that were much heavier. As a result I called Coach V and set up a consultation so I could take my training to the next level. And now this has become a passion of mine and cannot imagine not doing it. I now strength train 3 times per week (full body) with Coach V, while doing cardio most days out of the week, usually walking or kickboxing.

I follow the workouts and advice given to me from Coach V and the Higher Level FItness team. This is an example of what I would do as follows:
Never give up on your goals and dreams. It may take the help of someone like Coach V but It's never too late. Having an active lifestyle along with some muscle feels amazing!
